    Big dissapointment

    by P. Brezina . 1 out of 5 stars

After 1176 revisions, I hope LA2A will be the same quality. But as I testing it against some other emulations, I found that there is not big difference and some compressors (for example Cakewalks PC2A) acts better even in extreme gain reduction settings. Emphasis screw works almost same as one on Cakewalks emulation. This is for sure not worth 149 dollars. I wish UA make revision MKIII as soon as possible. There is also not big difference between LA2, LA2A gery and silver. sounds almost same. there is only difference in gain staging so you can think it is different for the first time zou try it. Really shame UA, I know you can do much better...

    UA Software is Too Expensive

    by R. Ravella . 1 out of 5 stars

Since I know you're not honest about these reviews and only publish the ones that say what you want (giving a false impression of how people actually feel about your products), let me just say this to you directly.

Considering users have to make a substantial investment in hardware to run your plugins in the first place, not to mention using up a valuable hardware slot or interface port to plug it into, the price of the plugins themselves is far, far too high. Every single person I know feels the same way. Every single person.

Don't you realize you would access an entire market that ignores you now if you lowered your prices? And you would probably actually increase your profits because of the increased sales base? Stop being greedy.

LA2A again??? What was the 1 I bought

    by R. Masters . 1 out of 5 stars

I purchased the la2a already so why is it not an upgrade ? Was the last 1 a fake?

Same with the 1176. Am I the only 1 that feels ripped off.

They said that its an emulation of the original. This also is an emulation of the original. So what was the last LA2A ?

Are they going to sell us another LA2A. The 1 we supposedly bought.

Its like this is the LA2A... "no" this is the LA2A... "no" this is the LA2A....

    Same applies to the 1176.

No big deal for any 1 new to UAD... They sold LA2A and 1176 to us already and now saying this is the LA2A and 1176. this is flaky busyness.

    The original la2a plug

    by B. Joseph . 1 out of 5 stars

I've used the hardware version, the original uad1 la2a and several newer third party emulation plugs. The fact that so many people speak so highly of the original plug in makes me question the amount of deaf "engineers" out there... The original LA2A plug is so bad and nowhere close to the real thing. I pray this revision sees some drastic improvement. The upgrade should be free for users who already have the originals.

I really love this compressor.my favourite on acoustic guitar and vocals. Smoothes out the mix without sounding overcompressed.
