Super control!!! For soft and gentle songs it is ideal, it would be desirable still that that on more rigid. That there would be a choice.

Clarity combined with the power at any point of the scale- is what you expect from it.. And this is what you get without unnecessary words.

    Not another Limiter!!
But seriously, as a mastering engineer, I have found that no one limiter does the right job for all mixes. Some add presence that is not always appropriate; some respond to the frequency range differently from others; some have high CPU load to get the benefit of their 'intelligent' algorithms; some give up after 6 - 9 dB (a definite risk for DAC overload and a possible sign of artifacts). When you need transparent brickwall limiting (and K-14 monitoring), this is the 'go-to' limiter of the pack. And the two attack curve choices provide a good variety for different styles and tracks. Definitely a 'top three' limiter!

M, i have mixed feelings on this.
Sometimes i find this works very well, but in all honesty i think it holds nothing over logics bog standard limiter.

Don't get me wrong i think its a good plugin, but for mastering? No, it's not there yet.

    Does what it says

The final piece of the puzzle. Is it worth $200? No, but when its $25 bucks I'll take it.

by J. Alberto Franco Lopez . 3 out of 5 stars

en mi opinion , aplasta los graves , esta muy bien para baladas y temas suaves pero para musica techno , disco , hip hop no vale , necesitamos algo mejor para ese genero tipo maxxbas o algo asi , gracias

Yeah people. I suggest you definately better go for the precision maximizer or even better: the Neve 33609 compressor limiter. (WHOHAAA!!!!!) This precision limiter eats up the drums and almost exterminate your kick drum totally. I used this one for more than 2 years and it really confused me and made my mixing time expand a lot.

The precision limiter is beside the Sony Oxford limiter one of the best digital limiters I know. But let me tell you I've bought a Manley Slam. I know it is a bit unfair to compare a 200 $ Sofware with a 6000 $ hardware, but the difference is huge!! If you compare both units, the Slam is much louder an more spatial, very round at top and low end. Don't think you could do anything with the precision limiter.

    Precision Limiter Plug-in

    by J. Fox . 5 out of 5 stars

The Precision Limiter is the best limiter I've used. Transparent sound with a lot of head room for your final master. Definitely worth the money. Thanks

    Precision limiter plug-in

    by C. Henry . 5 out of 5 stars

Now indeed, taking about needing a police to stand guard over the mix to assure everybody stays in its plays, no sound getting upset and maxing out the reds, indeed it keeps the mix level perfectly in its plays so that the mix remain pleasant to the Ear, it is indeed a police brick wall that keeps the other sounds under control. It also still gives enough room to push the mix close to its level of limit and still allow the mix to maintain its originality, it adds to the mix not take away. Out standing plug in

    Colorless Limiter

    by G. Wachter . 5 out of 5 stars

I've used the native Logic limiter for years, but always felt it did something to the low-end and stereo image. Now that I'm able to compare it with the UAD limiter I know I was right. The Precision Limiter adds no color to your mix. That's all you need to know.

Good but not superior than Sonnox

    by P. Lopes . 2 out of 5 stars

Causes distortion and fakes the color. I want my money back.
Buy a Sonnox limiter, you will not regret and more... you can use with any hardware and travel around the world with your PAID plugins, Sonnox psychologically hassles .

    Great Mastering Tool

    by B. Offermann . 5 out of 5 stars

Already on the UA roster for a while, but just purchased this item to replace a hardware limiter in use. Besides precise brick walling, the metering of the limiter PI is unbeatbale useful and accurate (different modes help bringing your mix to the dynamic scope it needs to be).

    And at the end ...

    by R. Weissauer . 5 out of 5 stars

... of the master channel I use the Precision Limiter.
I confess, after a short demo test I immediately decided
to buy it. For me it simply works perfect!
