I little difficult to use, for me (since I am not practice in using EQ).
Sounds great, I like what it does on vocals. I haven't used a real one that much, so I can't really say anything on how accurate the modeling is.
However I do wish there was an easy way to copy/paste settings between the 1073 and the 1073SE. Also, that settings are retained when switching between the two.
At least in Logic X this is not working at the moment.
For me it´s just the best plugin thats emulates 1073. Can barely make the difference by making an A/B compare with the hardware version.
On my last project I used a few hardware 1073's. After I A/B'd it with the UAD 1073's demo and was impressed. At that point deciding which was better was just splitting hairs. In the end it was just a matter of taste, and it tastes good. Buy it!
Probably one of the most famous EQ's in history? This UAD plugin is great! Lots of useful presets to get you started, it's a great simple to use plugin. One of the reasons I like it is because it predetermines the bands you can use and you know the real thing has been used all over the music industry so they're good choices. Having the bands predetermined for you makes making a decision easier as opposed to some of this newer digital only stuff!
Not too greedy. Especially for the really good treble and midrange on instruments alone.
The value price is right
