Impressive recreation of the original hardware and the definitely one of the best chorus plugs around. Could have been improved with a wet/dry control as I tend to use it in a subtle way on the low settings to add space and depth on reverbs and delays. This plugin is good value compared to the hardware and combines ease of use with very low DSP demand.

    Killer!

    by B. Perdue . 4 out of 5 stars

Only a few tricks to this pony, but it's great at what it does! Just nice, musical vintage sounding chorus effect that you can work into a mix without feeling like you're harkening back to the early 90's Adult Contemporary scene. Love it on acoustics and vocals blended in just enough to add some intrigue.

    Nice EFX

    by D. Dash . 4 out of 5 stars

THe Dimension D is a really nice plug for adding width and slight chorusing efx on things. I've used it on vox and it does a really nice job of spreading the vox on the stereo field.

Very hard to get a good chorus sound for acoustic guitar but this is very tasty. Nicve delicate sound gives a good spread to the DI sound

    Great Classic Chorus Effect

    by S. Hughes . 4 out of 5 stars

This one is what it is - the best chorus ever made. I have systematically been selling off all the old rack mount gear in my control room because these UAD-2 plug ins are more or less identical in sound quality to the real physical units, only you don't have to worry about cables, earth loops, hums and buzzes, old gear wearing out, and so on...

I felt this plug in was better sounding than the real one, and in context with my DAW, I have several of them now to use during a mix, rather than one old unit in a rack. Loving the futuristic streamlined production settup that is evolving in my room. Before long it will be just UAD-2 plug ins and no physical rack gear whatsoever, except of course for all the UA front end mike pres.

    Brilliant !

    Great Potential

    by K. Avola . 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this as a 'nice to have'. I have yet to use it in any production yet, but have messed around with it a bit on acoustic guitars, vocal and even drums. I think this will prove to be a niche kind of plugin, but know it will come in handy when I either want to add a hint of chorus somewhere but even more so, where I want to add width to an instrument in a mix. My only reason for not giving it a 5 is because I've only tested with it so far.

    great addition to the family

    by A. Heasman . 4 out of 5 stars

The Roland Dimension D plugin its a very good chorus effect without much tweak-ability - basically there are 4 buttons and combinations can be selected using the shift key. It's great on guitars and BVs, ok on bass, and never really sounds "wrong" on anything. Recommended.

    Great sounding plugin

    by B. Weiss . 4 out of 5 stars

I just bought the Roland® Dimension D and.... it's sounds great.... easy to use, only some knobs to get a special vocal, guitar chorus or "dimension" sound ..it spreads the voice into the mix, gives a kind of subtly wideness for any signal..and it sounds vintage in a positive sence...a must have.

    Subtle and Mission Critical

    by C. Aydt . 4 out of 5 stars

I have been working out my signature vocal chain for some time. Chorus effects can frequently lack nuance and finesse. Although this doesn't give you an in your face effect, it allows for added richness. Some of the best vocal productions are those that sound almost unaffected (even though they have been processed top to bottom). This is now a critical tool in my vocal tool kit as it allows for that hidden improvement.
A good purchase to be sure

I love the Roland Dimension D. It works well with back round vocals, Guitars and anything I want to spread out. I mainly put it on my busses. It doesn't overdue the spread and gives the stereo field a seamless widening.

This thing sounds cool when you want a vocal to sound interesting. I have also used it on guitars and it makes them sound synthy and thick...
