first impressions for sample based use

    by S. Hudson . 4 out of 5 stars

Real nice tool for putting back those bits you wanna
hear. Top end is silky and twiddle the attenuate roles
off or blends. Because of the smooth smudgy effect it
imparts on loops an drum it really bites alot better.
Its the first eq i think of now. Not an envelope shaper
eq more a add abit off balls.

I just tested it in demo mode, but I can say it's a great-sounding and very powerful plugin.
An additional spectrum analyzer function would make it an even greater tool, for mastering purposes especially: if it will be implemented in the future, I will not hesitate a millisecond to buy it!

    Great start.

    by S. Grush . 4 out of 5 stars

I felt this was a great starting point for my ear to settle into the UAD line. I hit the Pultec on a hi-hat and guitar lead and loved what the subtle EQ moves did for the mix. I don't think I'll use this EQ to do a lot of heavy lifting for my mixing, but it has its purpose.

    Very good.
I little difficult to use, for me (since I am not practice in using EQ).

    Cambridge EQ

    by N. Sagar-House . 4 out of 5 stars

The different behaviour types really help work flow and the filter slopes are also the most versatile i've found.

It would have been helpful to have a frequency analyser incorporated and feel its not completely transparent however a great sounding workhorse EQ which can get surgical and add musical colour to your mixes.

    Like it, but no copy/paste between 1073 & 1073SE

    by R. Veeman . 4 out of 5 stars

Sounds great, I like what it does on vocals. I haven't used a real one that much, so I can't really say anything on how accurate the modeling is.

However I do wish there was an easy way to copy/paste settings between the 1073 and the 1073SE. Also, that settings are retained when switching between the two.
At least in Logic X this is not working at the moment.

Great eq with low dsp usage

by R. Boyce Jr . 4 out of 5 stars

Demoed this plug in cause it was used in a mix I was doing, ended up purchasing it cause it has such low dsp but sounds great like my oxford plug in. Now I use this in places I would use an oxford eq or pt eq 7.

    Great EQ

    by J. Brown-McCue . 4 out of 5 stars

This will drastically change the sound of whatever you run through it with some know turning and takes up little cpu, both pretty awesome. I use the Pultec quite a bit, it's a swiss army knife eq, and a good one to start out with. I'd give it a 5, but I prefer the Manley Massive Passive a bit more as a UAD plug in - that one gets 5 stars. I like having both obviously. Great buy.

    very nice

    by A. Han . 4 out of 5 stars

    I needed a simple EQ.
Stock EQ plugins that came with my DAWs are totally fine.
I am not sure if Cambridge EQ stands up out of stock EQs.
But since I have Apollo and I needed an EQ that I can monitor
    through console, I bought it.

    Great Surgeory

    by M. Mathieson . 4 out of 5 stars

Super versatile, doesn't use a lot of processing, and I think it does audio surgeory better than most other grapic EQ's. I don't like boosting with it though. But I love it for taking away problems or clearing space.

I wouldn't say its a "must have", but if it's on sale, i'd get it.

    I love it

    by P. Yapobi . 4 out of 5 stars

For me it´s just the best plugin thats emulates 1073. Can barely make the difference by making an A/B compare with the hardware version.

    Great EQ

    by G. Olson . 4 out of 5 stars

The Pultec goes on pretty much every instrument in all my projects. Even if only with neutral settings, it still adds some mojo to the track. Indispensable!

    Solid EQ

    by A. Nackman . 4 out of 5 stars

Good, easy to use EQ. Transparent and musical. Honesty, it's not a complicated plugin. I wish the look of the thing was a bit more attractive. The graphics get fuzzy. It would be nice if it came with a few more presets to help get a track started, but other that, it's cool.

    Sweet EQ

    by R. Elliott . 4 out of 5 stars

I love how surgical this EQ can be. The different bandwidth selections are worth the price alone. I love how you can do multiple EQ settings and A/B them.

I don't know the original equipment but this one gave me a nice and bright sound in my mastering chain.

Nice precise and warm sounding eq.

    by J. Kroehnert . 4 out of 5 stars

I really like that eq. It's very precise and has a warm character. I also like the Pultec Pro eq which has a sound that I like more, but it's not that precisely. So for me, this eq is a good addition to my pultec.

    Crispy top end!

    by J. Leväsalmi . 4 out of 5 stars

Definitely liking this one. Sometimes just slapping this on and tweaking with the different angles of the dips and boosts gives surprisingly musical results. Not my go to EQ but always an interesting one to test on sounds that need that extra something.
