General Information
If I'm an existing registered user, am I already in the system?
If you have registered in the past, it is very likely your info is already in UA's system. Your original email address and personal information has already been transferred to the system. If you’re not sure if you are already registered, you can contact UA and ask to look up your information, or your can try to login using the email address you used the first time you registered. If your existing email is already in our system, you will get a message stating that the email is already being used for another account. At this point you can simply request a new password, and the new password will be emailed to you. You can now login using your email address and this new password, and view your information, and authorizations. You can also update your registration information or change your password from the “My Profile” tab.

What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you click on the new password link on the login page and request a new password. An email will be sent to you shortly with your new password. At this point you can login and change it to a new password of your liking.

What payment methods do you accept?
The web store accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. The web store also accepts PayPal, as well as personal checks or money orders. When paying by personal check or money order, authorizations for new plug-ins will not be released until UA has received and processed the check. Universal Audio does not support bank wire transfers.

Is my payment secure?
Yes. The UA web store uses the latest credit card encryption to protect your transactions and privacy.
The web store is a GeoTrust Trusted site. You can view this by clicking on the Geotrust icon on the left hand margin of the store.

How do I change my email address or my address?
After logging into my.uaudio.com, you can click on the “My Profile” tab to view your personal information. You can click on the modify profile button, to change your personal information and email.

UAD-1 Owners
How do I obtain my authorization after purchasing my new plug-in?
After purchasing your new plug-in, you will be able to download your authorization by choosing "My Systems" at my.uaudio.com and clicking on the "Download Software Authorization" button. This will take you take you to the download page. Half way down the page you will find a link to the Authorization File. Save it to your hard drive.

How do I authorize my plug-in after I have the Authorization file?
Load the Authorization settings file using the technique for your platform.
Windows: Double-click the Authorization File then answer "Yes". The authorization is automatically applied.
Mac OS:
Drag and drop the file onto the UAD-1 Meter application or its alias (NOT the CPU/Memory bar graph window!).
At this point you can open the UAD-1 Meter Authorizations window to verify that the plug-in is now authorized.

As a new user, how do I register my UAD-1?
Simply log on to my.uaudio.com and click on the registration link in the left hand margin. Create the account and choose a password to complete the registration. Your email is your login ID. You will be prompted to add the Hardware ID of the UAD-1 card during the registration process. The Hardware ID for your UAD-1 card can be found using the UAD-1 Meter Application and choosing "Authorizations" . UAD-1 cards can also be added at a later time by choosing the links "My Systems" then "Add Hardware".
As a new user, how do I register my UAD-1?

What is my hardware ID?
The hardware ID is a unique identifier that is needed to authorize your plug-ins for that specific card. If you have more than one UAD-1 card than you will have to enter all the IDs of all of your cards.
Your UAD-1 hardware IDs can be found in the Authorizations panel of the UAD-1 Meter application.
Your UAD-1 hardware IDs must be added to “My Systems” before you can download authorizations for your system.

How do I obtain the newest Powered Plug-Ins?
In order to obtain a 14-day demo of the licenced Powered Plug-Ins, download the latest version of the Powered Plug-Ins software. Licensed plug-ins need to be purchased to obtain authorization, and also require the latest version of the Powered Plug-Ins software. The Powered Plug-Ins software is available here.

What are groups?
A group is an identifier of up to 4 cards. Your UA software license allows you to run your plug-ins on up to 4 UAD-1 cards in one system. If you have more than 4 cards, than you will have 2 groups, and you will be required to purchase 2 software licenses.

How do I view my cards and already purchased plug-ins?
After logging into my.uaudio.com, click on the " My System" tab. You can view your Hardware IDs, purchased plug-ins and re-download your Authorization.

I am selling or buying a used card and wish to transfer ownership, how do I do it?
Complete the UAD transfer request form with all required fields, and a customer service representative will review the request.

Do I have to register to download the UAD-1 software?
Registration with my.uaudio.com is required to download the UAD-1 software. No personal information is shared in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Analog Registration
How do I register my SOLO, DCS or 2-LA-2 Hardware?
- Go to my.uaudio.com, choose Register a new Account, fill out all the required information, and then click the Create Account button. On the next page, confirm all the information you just entered.
- On the next page, click the Add Analog Hardware button
- Fill out all the information, including serial number and registration codes, and click the Add this Hardware button
- Your Hardware is now registered, and you can view it in the My Systems page.

Why should I register my SOLO, DCS or 2-LA-2 Hardware?
As a SOLO, DCS, or 2-LA-2 owner you qualify for upcoming discounts and promotions. UA is big on customer loyalty, and by registering you will be able to receive product announcements and special offers that only registered owners receive.

If I sell my SOLO, DCS or 2-LA-2 Hardware after I register it, can the person who buys it register it in their name?
Yes, ownership can be transferred to the buyer, but the seller must contact UA and request that their SOLO, DCS or 2-LA-2 registration be transferred to a new user. To transfer ownership, please notify UA via email (onlinesupport@uaudio.com) and provide the email of the new owner's account.
