So simple and so effective! It sounds beautiful on the high frequency range, and it is the first choice plug in for simple eq. Particularly good to add charachter and color to the sound

Ok i insert this plugin before even i hear the kick. This is my favorite plugin on kick. It changes the sound dramatically (eq wise) and u will get a real huge kick. also it is good for guitars.

Neve 88RS, the top level of the top chanel strip.
I use it all the time on my voice.

I use this one exclusively on drums, I prefer the 1072 and 1081. I find the compressor a bit hard to work with, it is not as inituitive as the 1176, LA3 and so on.
It simply takes me a bit too long to get the compressor to do what I want it to do, so many times I end up using the noisegate and the EQ only.

My go to EQ. Presets are ok but I wish there were more. I use them as a starting point and tweak according to taste. I use it mostly for cut but I still find that it doesn't overly hinder the tone that I'm trying to get. Great EQ! Worth the money!

My number one gate for drums. Exponential mode and eq on the sidechain won miles ahead over big nr of plugins I've tried. I made some presets for KIK and SNARE and never looked back. The only thing I'd like to see improoved is an option to use filters in sidechain.

The eq works great, I use it more than 1084 or 1073 plugs. The hipass filter is one of very few that doesn't change phase too much. Normally I wouldn't care, but when doing VO in radio spots which has to be super loud/limited, any waveform asymetry robs you of the precious dB of LOUD. With 88RS it is not a problem 90% of cases. It does midrange boost for vocals and... well anything exceptionally well and high shelf doesn't sound ugly too.

what can you say? It sounds great. I haven't had any real Neve hardware so I can't personally compare, but it sure sounds killer

A great channel strip and a perfect way to gain all the control you need on a large number of tracks. I am very impressed with the 88RS's ability to quickly clean up the sound of tracks and overall tighten up the mix. I load it on every track in bypass so I can quickly fix issues as they come up during mix. Love it!

This Channel strip rules! The best of AMS Neve in a plugin. And the best part for me is I can run all the Neve gear on my 3 UAD 1's while saving my Uad2 for the newer more dsp Hungry plugs. The only hard part was finding a Mother board with enough legacy PCI slots to support all my cards. But it was well worth the effort.
The gating/expansion and compressor limiting are second to none. The EQ is sweet and musical all that and the ability to switch the EQ pre or post dynamics s really way more useful than I had anticipated!
Once again UA has nailed it.

Amazing sound quality for any channel strip I have ever used, hardware or software.

Exceptional time saver. Having my recording drum kit set up in home studio, I run the mics through an analogue board into an A/D converter totally dry, into the computer. At the first opportunity to play it back, I have "my" drum sound because the "88" allows me to sculpt each drum, hat, ride and overhead voices, then save each of the settings on the EQ, gate, compression, and phase (in one plug-in) and actually load it in a RTAS compatible template.

I am blown away by the sound and ease of getting it, my bandmates and other friends are knocked out by the sound quality.

UA, you really nailed this one!
