The NEVE products are great!
After 14 day trial of all of the NEVE EQ's I desided on the 31102.
It can sound like the 1073, but is more verital.
I wish I had all of the NEVE plug-in's... but for the moment the 31102 is my first choice.
Also.. the LA2A is unbelievable (as I knew it would be) I use it on every session.

Probably one of the most famous EQ's in history? This UAD plugin is great! Lots of useful presets to get you started, it's a great simple to use plugin. One of the reasons I like it is because it predetermines the bands you can use and you know the real thing has been used all over the music industry so they're good choices. Having the bands predetermined for you makes making a decision easier as opposed to some of this newer digital only stuff!

This is definitely a character compressor. A different flavor from the SSL G series, it's got some Oomph! To it, bus glue if you need it and it is also one of the few UAD plugins that models harmonic distortion I believe so it really does sound good! It also comes with a bunch of useful presets to get you started. Definitely useful on you buses!

I have got myself a UAD 2 solo card because i really needed a boost in plug-ins quality and also needed the versatility of the free processor plug-ins.
I was really amazed on how the UAD handles the plugs and the quality boost they offer.

Using the plugs mainly on group channels or for mastering it gives you a professional end international music standard for fraction of cost.

I have never had a chance to compare the Neve hard ware with the software to properly compare it BUT comparing the NEVE with all other plugs i can say one thing.. IT ROCKS just like all other plugs from UAD.

The real key component to this EQ for me is the midrange control. 1.6kHz just makes anything sound immediately better. The treble seems to 'bite' when solo'd but put into the mix you use the hi-shelf much more! On bass this is a clear winner for me to enhance that gritty Ampeg SVT tone! In comparison to the 1081, I feel this has more character but the 1081 has more uses. If I only had this one Neve EQ, I would be very happy!

BOOM! This sukah has a massive round low end. Absolutely amazing on kicks (please UA, lets have a 2254!!) to really give the high end some snap and let the low end hang loose. Amazing character! Really great on drum bus and other electronic material to add some depth and smack to give a blown out feel. Definitely the most used for me out of the Neve stuff.

Very good EQ sound, better than many other EQs I tested. It also delivers a transparency of the stereo image which I did not hear with any other EQ. The 1073 Plugin did that, too, but to my ears the 1081 was a little more transparent.
