The instance you put the plug on your chain you can hear a great analog color added to the signal. The plug is great for eq on any source but I am primarily using it on my masters as a final color eq that can add some nice retro shine.
A great buy and investment :D
Used the real thing in State of the Ark Studio for a band I've been produced and it sounds so close I thought my ears were deceiving me.
Great plugin guys, keep up the great work!
Stick it on a track, don't touch dials and just compare 'on' with 'bypassed' - that's all you need do and you'll be sold on this. Its warm and lovely :)
I have probably all pultec plugins but this eq is my best!
Sound is a very effective and musical. Even a small shift makes big differences. I love it on vocal, guitar and...and everywhere:)
so excited on my purchase of the quad satellite. i just cant decide what plugs to get with my custom order!
If you need a simple to use but crisp and rich sounding EQ, you won't go wrong with this affordable plugin! I usually attenuate frequencies way more than boost them, and let the Pultec Pro do it's magic! It always sounds great on anything!
First time I used this plug in I could not beleive how good it was. Very easy to use with great results. Well worth the money.
I like it so much. Not for repair coz it is not that precise, but for well recorded tracks You can add really what You need...
This is quite smooth sounding and easy to use. It works well on just about everything. Vocals, drums, bass, keyboards, guitars and any other instrument you can think of.
this plug-in is incredible, the sound is very analog and vintage, is amazing who this add more body and warmth to the sound, fantastic for guitars voices pianos and keyboards.
Now I'm very happy owner of UA 710 Twin-Finity and UAD Satelite Quad!
First recording session behind me. Promo single of polish group TUNE is recorded! Sound is really GREAT!!! Musicians decided to record their new album at my little studio.
I'm waiting for new great promotions of UA. I think my next step will be Studer A800 :-)

My Goto EQ If I need to clean up a muddy sounding instrument and brighten it up
Never having the pleasure of using a real Pultec EQ I cannot really give any comparison notes. I have however, used all of the other plugins that emulate this unit. I will be brief. This is the best and easiest to dial up what you need. Well done.
You can definitely tell the difference when you use the Pultec Pro EQ Plug-in. It has a very natural feel to it. It gets right into those frequencies the way you want it. Try it! I don't think you'll regret any plug-in they have.
Pultec Pro is great for Vocals , great for harmonic bus , even for mastering if You want make little smooth bost or dip this is great! love it! hi frequencies are really pleasure
'E um dos poucos plugins de custo justo que qdo acrescentamos agudos nao distorce... muito legal. Meu proximo sera o brainworks... ainda que o price nao ajuda!!!
It's a really nice plugin. I use this eq alot to graftage my sounds. I has a wonderful character when boosting frquencies.
Pulse Technologies really pulled through nicely with this EQ!
While this may not super-insanely-accurately emulate the hardware version (its low DSP usage does not appear to be enough to accurately model its transformers and sonic characteristics), the fact that its functionality is very efficient makes this EQ a useful tool.
The settings for its cycles are set at musical values which make it incredibly easy to setup. Those familiar with the original unit will appreciate UA's remodeling of this.
I personally enjoy using the Pultec Pro to gently boost the low end of my mixes, especially when running turntables through it (much older records tend to lack bass frequencies) quickly.
I had no idea what to expect, but was more than pleasantly surprised! I have not used the original hardware, so I cannot do a comparison - but I can say for sure, that this EQ has taken my sound and what I can accomplish in the box - up, several hundred notches! :-]
Thanks a million UA! Keep doin' whutchu do!!!!
